The typical oil reservoir can be easily converted to a closed system reservoir with the patented Seal 'N' Dry®.
SEAL 'N' DRY® SIZING
Sizing information is based on standard conditions with a 15% air space and is for general reference only. Add for displacement. The bladder size should exceed the thermal cubical expansion of the air and oil plus any displacement from accumulators, rods, etc. If for any reason the bladder is undersized the system will temporally convert back to an “open” system. This also normally occurs during initial installation period.
Special sizes, shapes and finishes available upon request.
Example: Model Number SD-5R. This unit has a 5 gallon bladder and may serve a 40 to 50 gallon size reservoir.

GENERAL INFORMATION:
SEAL ‘N’ DRY® converts hydraulic oil reservoirs from “open” breather systems to a “closed” variable volume system with a expandable bladder. Air within the reservoir system is constantly in contact with an internal desiccant dryer that effectively removes moisture.
INTRODUCTION
SEAL’N’DRY® helps solve oil contamination problems associated with “open” vent systems.
THE SOURCE
Ambient air contains moisture and airborne contaminants that enter the breather vent.
THE PROBLEM
Water is the primary contaminant and leads to frequent oil and filter changes and shortened equipment life.
THE SOLUTION
SEAL’N’DRY® converts an OPEN vent reservoir to a variable volume CLOSED vent system with internal dryer and pressure / vacuum relief valves. This stops ingression and alters the interior environment to a clean and dry state.
APPLICATION
Most new and existing oil containing open vent systems can benefit from the use of SEAL’N’DRY®. This includes other fluids and gear lube oil systems.
SIZING
The bladder size is a function of air and oil expansion and expansion due to temperature changes and system displacement.
SPECIFICATIONS
SEAL ‘N’ DRY® comes complete with a variable volume bladder device, moisture indicating desiccant dryer, pressure/vacuum relief valves, adapter and tubing. All items are enclosed in a lightweight housing. Custom and special type enclosures are available.
Pressure Range: For use on low pressure hydraulic oil reservoirs that can safely operate within plus or minus 2 psig.
Bladder: Size to suit cubical air and oil expansion and contraction plus oil displacement.
Mounting: Locate above top of oil reservoir. See installation instructions.
Housing: Custom size and shapes available including HDPE and other materials..
Type: Spin-On type available for small size units. Remote mounting type is standard.
INSTALLATION
Simply replace the existing breather vent cap with a Spin-On or Remote mounted SEAL’N’DRY® unit.
