The Manhole Odor Eliminator is a carbon filter sewer odor control system designed to remove foul smells from sewer vents, manholes and other sources. The filter cartridge uses an activated carbon filter media to absorb sewer gas. This filter media can remove large amounts of hydrogen sulfide and other odors from sewer manholes.

Basic Problem

Sewer odors escape from manholes and drain vents in residential and commercial areas. Air and water flows through the sewer resulting in fluctuating pressure and flow of sewer gases through the manhole cover.

The Manhole Odor Eliminator is a carbon filter based sewer odor control system with a variable volume bladder. The bladder buffers the fluctuating pressure and flow of the sewer gases in the manhole. This greatly increases the life of the filter cartridge by only treating the peak flow occurrences in the sewer system.
